Our 2008 NTA National Conference in Orange County California at the California State University Fullerton was a grand success! Thanks to all who participated to help NTA meet the objectives of our mission statement.  Special thanks to NASA JPL for providing a lunar rover demonstration to the students of Cal-State, the instructors who provided workshops and lectures and to the committee members who worked so diligently to make this years conference a reality.

2008 National Elections

In accordance with the NTA Constitution and By-Laws elections are now being held for a National President-Elect, National Treasurer, National Secretary, and several Regional Directors.  Only members in good and current financial standing will be allowed to vote.   Financial members may vote for all national positions and only the one Regional Director in their region.  If you did not receive a ballot in the mail, verify your financial status with the NTA National Treasurer.
  Members must be financial by Wednesday, October 15, 2008, to receive a ballot.

All Membership Dues are now due

Based on a request by our members and approved by the NTA Board of Directors all membership dues are due the first month of the NTA fiscal year which is October.  Payments made in August and September 2008 will be applied to your Membership dues for 2009. Your dues must be paid directly to the NTA National Treasurer electronically via this website or by sending a check/money order to the address below.  The annual dues for a full member remains unchanged at $100.00.  All NTA national and local officers dues must be paid and they must be in good financial standing with the organization at all times.  All persons representing NTA in any form must be in good financial standing as a Life Fellow or paid member.

NTA Member Astronaut Flies in Space Shuttle Mission

Astronaut Leland Melvin, an NTA member with the Hampton Roads Chapter, flew on the STS-122 space shuttle mission in December, 2007. He was also honored in the program held at the NTA Cleveland chapter on April 9, 2008. The NTA Cleveland Chapter also awarded scholarships to three students; two were Mallory Scholarships, and three were Julian Earls Scholarships. NASA Glenn Center Director Dr. Woodrow Whitlow was also present.
